As part of the implementation of the tasks of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Government is implementing comprehensive measures to modernize the transport infrastructure and modernize railway stations throughout Kazakhstan. As part of these works, the reconstruction of the railway station Tulkibas in the Turkestan region was completed. The history of Tulkibas station is more than 100 years old. The first building of the station was built in 1916. The new station complex is designed to serve about 200 passengers per day and provides convenient conditions for citizens. The building has a waiting room with 90 seats, which is twice as many as the former station. There are also railway ticket offices, a reference bureau, catering stations, service premises. Special attention was paid to creating a barrier-free environment. Special areas for people with disabilities and disabled people have been considered and an elevator has been installed. There is also a room for mother and child. As part of the reconstruction, the 540-meter-long platform of the platform was renewed. Landscaping and landscaping were carried out in the adjacent territory, and video surveillance and loudspeaker systems were installed. In addition, the pedestrian bridge was reconstructed. It is important to note that the railway infrastructure modernization program includes railway stations in different regions of the country and is aimed at creating modern and convenient conditions for passengers. In general, it is planned to repair 124 railway facilities across the country within the framework of the order of the Head of State. Today, 72 railway stations have been repaired and put into operation. Another 49 are planned to be reconstructed by the end of the year. Works on three large railway stations with historical and architectural value in the cities of Astana, Almaty and Turkestan are planned as a separate block.
