Lot 4 of National Route PY12, part of the project to enable and maintain this important road in the Chacoi - General Bruguez section and accesses, is making significant progress in the department of Presidente Hayes. This work front covers from km 122 to km 160, with 38 km of main route and a 5.5 km urban branch in General Bruguez. Currently, Lot 4 reports an execution of 15.79%. Current tasks include earthworks. We are working with 170 people directly, and that number will grow as we move forward, said Mariano Zarate, superintendent engineer of the Chaco Sur Consortium, responsible for this lot. The intervention not only represents improvements in road infrastructure, but also a positive impact on local communities.
According to Zarate, making a route in this region of Chaco involves a lot of transformation in areas such as health, education, food and social integration. The change is enormous. The four lots of the project The overall project, which covers a total of 166 kilometers, is divided into four lots: Lot 1, executed by the TEC Consortium, includes 35 kilometers and access to Nanawa; Lot 2, in charge of the Avanza Chaco Consortium, covers 42.8 kilometers; Lot 3, led by the Chaco Road Consortium, includes 44.4 kilometers and access to the Ninfa community; and finally, Lot 4, the responsibility of the Chaco Sur Consortium.
Together, the four lots exceed 22% average progress and all are advancing according to the planned schedule. It is worth remembering that the start order for this last lot was granted by the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) at the end of June of this year. The full opening of Route PY12 will not only improve connectivity in this vast Chaco region, but also promises to be a driving force of progress for its inhabitants, marking a before and after in their quality of life. These actions reflect the MOPCs commitment to the development of a historically neglected region, investing in tourism, international trade and the integration of indigenous communities.
