With great enthusiasm, 270 graduates from all over the country participated in the inauguration of Osinergmins 2026 University Extension Program (PEU). Through this initiative, the institution contributes to the training of highly trained professionals in regulation and supervision of the energy and mining sector, strategic areas for the development of Peru.
The inauguration was led by the President of Osinergmin, Eng. Omar Chambergo Rodriguez and had the participation of allied institutions, which contribute and strengthen the development of the Program. The executive president of the National Civil Service Authority (SERVIR) participated; Guillermo Valdivieso and the director of the National School of Public Administration (ENAP), Isabel Flores.
To access the University Extension Program, graduates from various majors such as engineering, law, economics, accounting administration, systems, communications, among others, took a demanding admission exam to which more than 1,000 interested parties from all over the country took part. Of the 270 entrants, 50% come from regions such as Arequipa, Cusco, Junin, Lambayeque, Ancash, Puno, Tacna, San Martin, Piura, Moquegua, Loreto, La Libertad, Ica, Huanuco, Pasco, Cajamarca, Huancavelica and Ayacucho.
The program covers 100% of academic costs and culminates with a double certification awarded jointly by Osinergmin and the nationally recognized National School of Public Administration (ENAP) of SERVIR.
The PEU 2026 presents a significant evolution with the incorporation of the Hydrocarbon Regulation and Supervision specialty, which integrates natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons and concentrates the largest supply of vacancies. Likewise, the program includes five other specialties: Regulation and Supervision of Electricity, Supervision of Mining Safety, Energy and Mining Law, Energy and Mining Economics, and Public Management of Energy and Mining.
As an incentive for academic performance, students with the best averages access the selection process for paid professional internships in the different management areas of Osinergmin, which makes the PEU an effective platform for job placement.
