Phase 1 takes place from August 3-13; Phase 2 from August 19-24, 2026. The meeting is expected to last about 17 days. The National Assembly arranged to work both Saturdays (August 8 and August 22) and two Sundays (August 9 and August 23). During the break between the two sessions, from the afternoon of August 13 to August 18, agencies of the National Assembly, the Government and relevant agencies will research, absorb, revise and complete draft laws and draft resolutions based on the opinions of National Assembly delegates and report to the National Assembly Standing Committee for consideration before voting for approval at the second session of the Session. Consider and pass many important bills. At this Session, the National Assembly will consider and decide. 33 contents; including, reviewing and passing 15 law projects and 4 legal resolution projects; give first opinions on 7 other bills; Consider and decide on 7 important issues of the country, specifically as follows: Law projects considered and approved by the National Assembly include: (1) Petroleum Law (amended); (2) Grassroots Mediation Law (amended); (3) Urban Development Law; (4) Law on Dissemination and Legal Education (amended); (5) Law on Prevention and Suppression of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferation; (6) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 10 laws related to administrative procedures and business conditions in the fields of agriculture and environment; (7) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 09 laws on military and national defense; (8) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam, Law on Prevention and Combat of Money Laundering and Law on Credit Institutions; (9) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Radio Frequency, Law on Telecommunications, Law on Electronic Transactions and Law on Technology Transfer; (10) Law amending and supplementing Article 6 and Appendix IV on the list of conditional investment and business sectors of the Investment Law; (11) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Customs Law; (12) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Architecture; (13) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Vietnamese Workers working abroad under contract; (14) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on State Compensation Liability; (15) Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Publishing Law. Notably, the National Assembly plans to consider and pass 4 legal resolutions, including a Resolution stipulating specific mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties and obstacles in implementing projects and works serving the 2027 APEC Summit in Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang province; Resolution on specific mechanisms and policies to handle violations of law related to the state economy, private economy and the application of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
