π Tender Overview
CATARMAN, Northern Samar (PIA) -- The Northern Samar Provincial Tourism Office planned a province-wide tour circuit to encourage tourists to visit multiple municipalities and expand tourism opportunities across local communities. A proposed grouping of the provinces 24 towns into tourism circuits aims to connect destinations and encourage visitors to explore multiple municipalities in a single trip. Towns will be clustered to form a tour circuit so that tourists can visit not only one but two or three towns in one tour and experience and see diverse tourist spots, foods, and culture distinct from the others, said Provincial Tourism Officer Maria Jossette Doctor. The initiative aims to boost visitor movement between municipalities and spread tourism beyond main destinations. It also creates opportunities for local businesses, transportation, accommodation, and tourism workers across the province. The tourism office promoted Northern Samar despite rising energy costs. Ms. Doctor said the province remained dedicated to showcasing its assets and attracting visitors. Though we are currently hard-pressed, facing a crisis brought on by the energy price hike, the tourism office never fails to promote and bolster the provinces culture, its richness and beauty, urging tourists to explore, experience, and visit the province, she said. She also highlighted the provinces beaches, rock formations, eco-parks, and marine attractions as among the destinations included in tourism promotion efforts. Provincial tourism records showed that tourist arrivals reached 257,258 in the previous year. The figure surpassed arrivals in earlier years and reflected continued interest in the provinces tourism destinations. (AND, PIA Northern Samar)
