πŸ“‹ Tender Overview

The National Civil Defense Steering Committee has just sent a document to the Peoples Committees of provinces and cities in the Northern and North Central regions on proactively implementing measures to respond to heavy rains, floods, inundations, flash floods and landslides. Download Illustrative Image According to the news from the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, from the afternoon of August 4 to the night of August 6, the Northern and North Central regions will receive a widespread period of heavy rain. Total rainfall is commonly 100-200mm, especially in some places over 300mm. Notably, the meteorological agency warns of the risk of high-intensity rain (over 100mm within 3 hours), easily causing flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas and industrial zones. During thunderstorms, people need to be careful of tornadoes, lightning, and hail; At the same time, be on high alert for flash floods on small rivers and streams and landslides on steep slopes. To proactively minimize damage, the National Civil Defense Steering Committee recommends that the Peoples Committees of provinces and cities (from Dien Bien to Ha Tinh) focus on implementing the following key tasks: Closely monitor weather developments: Timely inform local authorities and people to proactively take appropriate preventive measures. Review and relocate residents: Deploy shock forces to inspect and proactively evacuate people in areas along rivers, streams, and low-lying areas at risk of deep flooding, flash floods or landslides to a safe place. Ensuring traffic safety: Organizing forces to guard and control underground areas, spillways, deeply flooded or fast-flowing roads; Resolutely do not allow people and vehicles to pass if safety is not guaranteed. Protecting works and production: Checking the safety of mines, mines, works under construction and reservoir systems. In particular, hydroelectric lakes, small irrigation reservoirs and critical lakes need to have a permanent force to operate, regulate and promptly handle arising situations. Enhance communication: Disseminate natural disaster response skills so people know and proactively prevent them. The Steering Committee also requires localities on duty to seriously and regularly report the situation to the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) for timely synthesis and handling.Do HuongSee moreProactively respond to heavy rains and floods from now until the end of the yearSee moreWide-scale heavy rain is about to happen in many areasSee moreReady forces and means to respond to heavy rains, floods, and landslides
