Investment in a reliable public transport network The Wiener Linien brings more than two million people to their destinations reliably and efficiently every day. To ensure that it remains this way in the future, the existing network is constantly maintained. In 2026, Wiener Linien will renew a total of 12.5 kilometers of tracks and 33 switches. They are consciously relying on larger, concentrated renovations: although these lead to temporary restrictions, they make entire sections of the route fit for the coming decades.
