The Provincial Executive of Limburg announce that- Mayor and Aldermen of the municipality of Beesel have adopted a draft environmental permit for the construction and alteration of roads on 14 July 2021- The Mayor and Aldermen of the municipality of Beesel have adopted a draft environmental permit for the construction of sheet piles on 20 July 2021.These draft decisions concern so-called implementation decisions that are necessary for the implementation of the project plan Dijk Improvement Beesel. The project plan describes the dike improvement measures to be taken in the municipality of Beesel. The dyke improvement measures are being implemented because the above section does not meet the legal standard for dyke safety. The Beesel Dike Improvement project is part of the Northern Meuse Valley Flood Protection Programme.
