π Tender Overview
In the natural gas-free Overwhere-Zuid testing ground in Purmerend more than 75 of the residents opt for a natural gas-free future. This concerns 112 of the 149 homes in Block 1. 110 owners opt for a connection to the SVP heat network. Two residents have indicated that they opt for an all-electric solution such as a heat pump. The connections to SVPs heat network are fully paid for from the project budget. A subsidy of up to 10000 is available for the all-electric solution. The condition is that the house is made natural gas-free within the subsidy period.Although the council set an ambition of 80 via an amendment to the implementation strategy in April 2021 Alderman Van Meekeren considers the percentage achieved a success We achieved this in a period that has been very challenging. Meetings had to be digital different solutions were needed to bring heat into the homes and we are in a time when people look critically at monthly expenses. Im very proud of the fact that Ive managed to achieve this percentage.Back supportFor SVP this result means that a realistic business case is feasible. Director Gijs de Man For SVP this is a boost and a token of appreciation from the residents of Purmerend. Heat networks are the future for many homes in our country. If the council gives permission for construction we can also help these residents to a home with a future.Council decisionThe municipal council has determined that if the success rate is below 80 a council decision is required to be able to carry out the conversion in block 1. The handling of this is planned for April of this year. In May last year communication was started in block 1 which is formed by Scheldestraat Amstellaan Vechtstraat Merwedestraat and Eemsstraat.
