Applications can be submitted up to and including 30 September of this year for subsidies for Euregional microprojects. The condition is that they must contribute to the stimulation of cross-border meetings and exchanges between citizens associations organisations visitors and public institutions. That is the aim of the People to People 2 subsidy scheme of the Euregio Meuse-Rhine the second round of which has now started.There are six specific areas of focus for applying for a subsidy for a microproject Culture - Labor market Education Youth - Citizen participation public services - Tourism and recreation - Nature and environment - Sport and health. From 1 July 2022 up to and including 30 September 2022 a new application can be submitted for project ideas for financial support of 50 of the project costs with a maximum of 40000.00.Over People to People 2Central to these small-scale projects are the meetings of people from other regions and countries as well as the involvement of citizens and civil society. The scheme is there to promote cross-border activities that are close to the people. Think for example of the organization of events or the development of joint initiatives and instruments that are relevant and applicable on both sides of the border. For example the awareness for cooperation across borders should be improved perception and experience in the border region should be strengthened and finally the quality of life of the inhabitants of the EMR should be increased.In the first People-to-People opening 137 very diverse new initiatives were submitted by a total of 83 partners. For example there was an exchange between hairdressing courses a strategic plan was drawn up for a cross-border nature park the tourist cooperation between Maasgouw NL and Kinrooi B was strengthened and various creative makers have developed a play and music about the experience of the Second World War in our Euregio.
