Netherlands Energy Savings Tender

Alderman Peter van Diepen Heiloo and Elly Konijn-Vermaas Alkmaar gave the go-ahead for the pilot to reduce energy consumption in a smart way at companies.During the pilot the savings will be made transparent to other companies. Volvo Ton van Kuyk will be the first to work with Hero Balancer software. The pilot is an initiative of the Province of Noord-Holland the Alkmaar Region and the Noord-Holland Noord Development Company.Smart softwareThe Hero Balancer software stops energy wastage at companies and makes the energy savings visible. For example the software takes into account the switching on and off of heat per controllable space. The smart algorithm responds to the weather conditions the presence of people and the heat demand of the user. The savings achieved are displayed on the dashboard of an app that can be used with the smartphone or computer.The system is not new but the fact that companies can now monitor an app is new.Energy-saving measures mandatoryCompanies have a legal obligation to take energy-saving measures. This is often insufficiently followed. Research has shown that a large savings potential remains untapped as a result. Saving energy is perhaps the cheapest easiest and most efficient way to reduce CO2. The province therefore believes it is important to pay a lot of attention to this in the coming period. She is therefore happy to support the pilots to use smart software to provide insight into which measures can be used to save energy in a simple way.
