Building with an eye for the environment. That is the approach of contractor BAM Infra Nederland in the realization of the deepened track in Vught. BAMs approach is aimed at preventing nuisance during construction as much as possible. An important part of the materials is therefore transported by rail.Start realizationAfter the award the contractor immediately started the preparatory work. Until the end of this year nothing will be visible outside. First the contractor still has a lot to prepare. For example the purchase of raw materials machines and materials is on the list. Also it is necessary to conduct soil research. Furthermore the contractor has to calculate and draw to arrive at a feasible design.At the beginning of 2024 BAM will start realising the temporary situation. Before then BAM will meet the residents of Vught. They do this during a residents evening that is held in the autumn. The BAM will also show a schedule of the work.Construction of the sunken locationIn order to enable more train traffic between Den Bosch and Vught in the future ProRail is adapting the track. There will be a fourth track between Den Bosch and Vught Noord and in Vught we will build the two tracks towards Eindhoven deepened. Because more freight trains will run and the construction will take about seven years the PHS Den Bosch Vught project is a radical project for the surrounding area.Construction nuisance for the environment cannot be ruled out but ProRail does everything it can to prevent this as much as possible. To prevent possible noise and vibration nuisance noise barriers will be installed along the track or a vibration-resistant wall in the ground in various places. We are currently preparing the construction of the temporary railway.
