Netherlands Co2 Performance Tender

πŸ“„ Tender ID: 495459638 πŸ“… Published: 09 Oct 2023

πŸ“‹ Tender Overview

Keolis is challenged on various sides to reduce CO2 emissions (also called emissions). For example, by the politicians who conclude climate agreements. But also through legislation that Keolis must comply with. Such as reporting on sustainability, the energy saving obligation, information obligation and EED reports. The Keolis Group gives us sustainability goals and our clients find sustainability / CO2 reduction increasingly important. We see this, among other things, as a requirement within the tenders.

What does the CO2 performance ladder mean?
The CO2 performance ladder is a recognized tool. It is used to gain insight into the energy consumption and CO2 emissions of an organization. The CO2 performance ladder is a "ladder" with 5 levels, rising from 1 to 5. For each level, requirements have been determined that are set for the CO-2 performance of the organization. In addition, requirements have been drawn up in the field of insight, reduction, transparency and participation. Keolis will soon be certified at level 3 of the CO2 performance ladder. This means that Keolis maps the emissions of levels 1 and 2 and the CO2 emissions of "business travel", in order to subsequently draw up reduction measures.

Level 1 emissions These are the direct emissions, such as fuel consumption of Keolis vehicles and the (energy) gas consumption at the locations/branches. In other words, the CO2 emissions emitted by Keolis resources itself.

Level 2 emissions These are the indirect emissions. For example, energy that is purchased for the electricity consumption of the vehicles and electricity consumption of the buildings. Business travel includes all vehicle movements made before and during work. Such as traveling from one location to another location for, for example, a consultation, a training, a meeting, etc.

How does Keolis reduce emissions?
She has described how Keolis reduces its CO2 emissions in the document "Energy assessment CO2 performance ladder". In this document, Keolis calculates its CO2 footprint and which reduction measures it is taking to achieve a CO2025 reduction of 2% in 75 compared to 2022.
