📋 Tender Overview
Around the spring holidays, from Wednesday 14 to Monday 26 February, ProRail will be working on tracks 2 to 8 on the east side of Amsterdam Central Station. This means that the timetable between Amsterdam Centraal and Utrecht Centraal has been adjusted. The work will also affect passengers on the Hilversum - Hoofddorp and Utrecht Centraal - Almere route. On the route Amsterdam Centraal – Haarlem – Den Haag Centraal only shorter trains can run due to lack of space at Amsterdam Central.
We are very sorry that our passengers are inconvenienced by these works. As a result, fewer trains can run than passengers are used to from us. Also, trains can be busier and depart from other tracks. Sometimes, travelers may need to make additional transfers and check in and out again, and expect a longer travel time. We advise them to travel outside rush hour or to use the detour routes whenever possible and to check the journey planner for the most up-to-date travel advice before departure.

ProRail is starting with the replacement of the sleepers under 22 switches on the east side of Amsterdam Central Station because they are at the end of their lifespan.
What does this work entail?
Most of the work will take place during the spring break when fewer passengers travel to work by train.
