Yesterday, on July 15, 2026, at an extraordinary session, the National Assembly adopted an amendment to the Act on the Mass Valuation of Real Estate, which extends until January 31, 2028 the transition period for deciding on rights from public funds.Data on real estate and their values recorded on March 26, 2020 will therefore continue to be used when determining the financial situation of investors.
The purpose of the change is to ensure the smooth work of the social work centers until the regulations, asset tests and information solutions for using the new real estate values are properly adjusted.
The Geodetic Administration of the Republic of Slovenia is not responsible for the preparation and adjustment of technical solutions for the system of decision-making on rights from public funds, we only provide data on real estate and their generalized values, and the manner of their use in social rights procedures is determined by the competent authorities.
The new generalized real estate values remain valid, recorded in the valuation records and accessible for public inspection. The amendment temporarily regulates only their use when deciding on rights from public funds.
