The construction of the Bogd Khan railway was inaugurated today. There is no denying the use of direct democracy to resolve some difficult issues through referendums. The Bogd Khan Railway project is one of the major solutions to the urban-rural balance. The Bogd Khan Railway bypasses Rashaant Station in front of Bogd Khan Uul and connects with Maanit Station. In addition two 16.6 km long tunnels will be built for the first time in Mongolia. This will be the basis for many major solutions in the future. He said that the decision of the capital city of Ulaanbaatar depends not only on the Governor of the capital city but also on the active participation of all citizens and businesses.On August 4 2021 the Government of Mongolia granted a license to Tavan Tolgoi Railway LLC to build the infrastructure of the Bogd Khan Railway project.With the construction of the Bogd Khan Railway the average 144 minutes spent at the intersection of railways and roads in Ulaanbaatar will be reduced by 57 percent. Noise dust and pollution along the Ulaanbaatar railway will be drastically reduced and it will be possible to gradually move petrol and fuel storage facilities coal transportation food and goods warehouses away from populated areas. The construction of the Khushig Valley will begin three new transport and logistics terminals will be established in the Khushig Valley exports will increase the basic conditions for the establishment of a free economic zone will be created and Tuv aimag will become a national city.
