π Tender Overview
The Ministry of Transportation and Communications, through Provias Nacional, continues to carry out actions to restore passability at km 523+350 of the Conococha - Catac route in the Collota sector, where a road emergency that affects the connectivity of the area is being attended to.
As part of the actions adopted, the metal structures of the modular bridge have already been moved and are in the intervention area, which will allow installation work to begin in the shortest possible time.
After the technical evaluation carried out by Provias Nacional bridge specialists deployed to the field, it was determined that the most appropriate solution is the installation of a 30.48 meter long modular bridge, an infrastructure that will allow vehicular traffic to be restored in safe conditions.
The technical team continues to carry out the coordination and preliminary work necessary for the assembly of the structure, including verification of the ground conditions and preparation of the supports for the installation of the bridge.
This intervention will allow the recovery of connectivity in the area and facilitate the transfer of people, products and services, benefiting the populations that depend on this road for their daily activities.
Likewise, an alternate route is being enabled along the old route between Huaraz and Conococha, the work of which consists of cleaning the platform, construction of dirt ditches, placement of filling material and installation of metal culverts, in order to restore temporary passability along this road in the shortest possible time. For this, we have the support of private companies.
In this way, the sector reaffirms its commitment to act in a timely manner in the face of road emergencies and guarantee passability in the National Road Network, especially in areas affected by climate phenomena.
