πŸ“‹ Tender Overview

o Mining constitutes one of the fundamental pillars of the Peruvian economy and an indispensable engine for the sustainable development of the countryThe Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) presents the 2026 Mining Investment Project Portfolio, made up of 66 mining projects distributed in 19 departments of the country, for a value greater than US$ 64,075 million, which represents an increase of 1.7% compared to what was reported in the portfolio updated as of October 2025.

This Portfolio reflects not only the confidence of private capital in the stability and competitiveness of the Peruvian regulatory framework, but also the progressive diversification towards strategic minerals such as copper and molybdenum, essential for the global supply chain of clean technologies, highlighted the General Directorate of Mining Promotion and Sustainability (DGPSM) of the MINEM, responsible for the document.

He noted that the Portfolio constitutes a fundamental instrument for decision-making in matters of sectoral policy, territorial planning and private investment, and reflects its contribution to the growth of production and exports, generating foreign exchange, tax revenues and transfers through Mining Canon, Mining Royalties and Validity and Penalty Rights, resources that finance the development of the countrys regions.

This edition highlights the dynamic nature of the mining subsector by incorporating 2 new projects (Atacocha-El Porvenir Integration and Carahuacra - San Cristobal Optimization) and records the departure of the San Gabriel project, after it began its productive stage in December 2025.

In its seven chapters, the document presents technical information and the main characteristics of the Portfolio projects, such as the year of start of execution, location, type of project, stage of progress, source of water supply, type of exploitation and mineral to be extracted, taking Capex investment as a reference.

Likewise, it analyzes the macroeconomic impact of the global supply and demand of copper, and presents detailed information on the 66 projects through technical sheets that include characteristics such as the mining owner, geographical location, Capex investment, type of deposit and/or mineralization, main data and its current situation.

The MINEM makes this publication available to public, private, academic and civil society actors as a tool for consultation, analysis and dialogue, which calls for recognizing and promoting, with responsibility and vision, the great historical opportunity that our mineral wealth represents to lead the development of Peru.
