📋 Tender Overview
Reduce waste, improve sanitation, reuse materials and make cities more efficient. These are some of the expected results of the public call launched by the Studies and Projects Financier (Finep), linked to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI). The initiative will allocate R150 million in non-refundable resources to support innovation projects aligned with the circular economy and urban sustainability.
The selection is part of the More Innovation Brazil -- Round 2: Circular Economy and Sustainable Cities program and is aimed at Brazilian companies that develop products, processes or services with technological risk. Projects must be carried out in a mandatory partnership with a scientific, technological and innovation institution (ICT), responsible for technical-scientific support.
According to the MCTI minister, Luciana Santos, the call reinforces the governments commitment to sustainable development. We are directing public resources to support companies that want to innovate with environmental responsibility and social impact. The circular economy is strategic for generating employment, reducing waste and strengthening the countrys technological sovereignty, he stated.
