The Ministry of the Interior invites municipalities to participate in the measure Renewal and development of urban engineering infrastructure important for business. The main objective of this measure is to increase employment in the target area with a target of EUR 10.5 million. euros. It will benefit municipalities that need to improve their infrastructure to enable them to attract investment and create new jobs. Under the measure Renovation and development of urban engineering infrastructure of business importance the Ministry of the Interior will finance from the European Union and the state budget the conversion and business adaptation of brownfields or derelict buildings as well as modernization of industrial or commercial areas.Municipalities will be able to apply for funding for demolition of buildings site clearance renovation of existing engineering networks and construction of new engineering networks. In addition it will finance the renewal of communications landscaping of the managed site development and modernization of the car park network and other similar work. There will be an obligation for the promoter to find an investor who will have to invest at least the value of the project and create new jobs within 4 years of the end of the project financing. About 227 jobs are planned to be created.This measure is for the regions and our aim is to enable investment. One of the key criteria for measuring the success of the project is the number of jobs created said Rita Tamaunien Minister of the Interior. The maximum possible funding for the project will be 92.5. of the total eligible costs of the project. The applicant will have to contribute at least 7.5 to the project. of the total eligible costs of the project. Applications for pre-selection and evaluation may be submitted to the Ministry of the Interior until 2019. December 13th.
