Today, on 9 July, on the eve of the NATO Summit, Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis participated in the discussion "The North-Baltic Region: Cooperation in the North-East of NATO" of the Washington Analytical Center "Atlantic Council". "Lithuania's security today is decided in Kharkiv, and we, the NATO countries, unfortunately, have not yet done everything to stop Putin's war machine. Our response to the aggressor Russia needs to be maximally strengthened now, without waiting for Putin to finally refocus us again for maximum retaliation, escalating the situation even more dramatically," Landsbergis said during the discussion.
The foreign ministers of Denmark, Iceland, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, as well as representatives of Estonia and Finland, who participated in the discussion, expressed their support for Ukraine's membership of NATO.
"Ukaina's membership in NATO was agreed in Vilnius, so we must keep our promise and move forward," the head of Lithuanian diplomacy told colleagues.
