The discussion with representatives from Estonia, Portugal, Moldova, the Netherlands and Ukraine focused on how legal regulation can contribute to tackling climate change. In his speech, Mr Gentvilas presented Lithuanias solutions and achievements in this area.In Lithuania, we have developed a strategic planning system that proves that cooperation and good governance lead to effective climate policy. By 2050, all public and private buildings are to be fossil fuel independent and carbon neutral.
