Lithuania Building Extended Tender

The Government approved a draft resolution prepared by the Ministry of Culture transferring a building owned by the state and owned by the Ministry of Culture to the Theater Meno Fortas under a lease agreement in Vilnius. Until September 7 this year. the existing building occupancy agreement is renewed for ten years in accordance with the approved draft resolution.After the death of the director and founder of the theater Eimuntas Nekroius the main mission of the theater was to preserve the performances created and still being shown to disseminate information about the directors work and to bring together young artists.In order to create conditions for new performing arts projects and projects the premises necessary for theater activities which up to now operate the theater administration accumulate a large archive of E. Nekroius preserve spectacle decorations props costumes equipment and other material related to E. Nekroius creative work.Since the foundation of the Theater Meno Fort in 1998 this public institution actively participates in Lithuanian and foreign cultural activities creates performances shows them in Lithuania and at the most famous festivals all over the world. Thousands of performances projects sketches exhibitions concerts have been shown throughout their life. Many of these artistic projects were created using premises entrusted to the Ministry of Culture and entrusted to the theater under a lending agreement.For more than three decades the work of E. Nekroius has been the focus of the international theater community. E. Nekroius was one of several European theater artists who significantly influenced the development of contemporary theater and reflected profound social transformations. E. Nekroius worked in various theaters around the world and in Lithuania but focused on the established theater Meno Fortas.
