π Tender Overview
Through the joint session of the CONASAC and CONAFAL national committees, strategic projects were coordinated to optimize the passenger experience and strengthen airport control. The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC), through the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC), led the joint session of two of the most important pillars for the countrys airport sector: the National Civil Aviation Safety Committee (CONASAC) and the National Facilitation Committee (CONAFAL). This key meeting brought together various public sector authorities, airport operators and international organizations with the aim of consolidating a more agile, competitive and safe civil aviation.
During the work day, a forward-looking agenda focused on four central axes was addressed. Firstly, preparatory activities were coordinated for the next audit to be carried out by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) of the Peruvian State. Likewise, the implementation of the Single Security Control at the national level was debated and the ambitious One Stop Security project (Single Security Control with countries in the region) was put on the table, which seeks to eliminate duplication of inspections at validated airports of origin. Finally, members were informed about the latest changes in the new review of the National Facilitation Program, aligned with the international standards of ICAO Annex 9.
The importance of the projects discussed lies in the imperative need to find the perfect balance between rigorous security and the streamlining of air transport. Measures such as One Stop Security and the standardization of inspection processes will optimize State resources, increase efficiency in the transit of passengers and luggage, and eliminate unnecessary procedures at the borders without neglecting protection levels. Likewise, the success of the ICAO audit represents a national commitment to measure the supervisory capacity of Peruvian institutions and position Peru at the forefront of the region.
The MTC assumes the responsibility of maintaining the highest quality standards in the airspace. The institution focuses its efforts on strengthening national and international connectivity and comprehensively optimizing airport processes, ensuring that the growth of the aeronautical industry translates directly into economic and social benefits and a better experience for all citizens.
