On October 29, in Hanoi, the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Lawyers Association held a conference to collect comments on draft documents submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party. In his opening speech, Mr. Dao Ngoc Chuyen, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Bar Federation, said that the Conference was organized to promote democracy, intelligence, and responsibility of the team of jurists and lawyers in perfecting the Partys major orientations. The draft documents submitted to the Congress are the crystallization of the Partys intelligence, bravery and strategic vision, demonstrating the aspiration of the Vietnamese people for peace, independence, democracy, wealth, prosperity, civilization and happiness, the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Bar Federation emphasized. At the Conference, delegates focused on discussing and contributing enthusiastic, objective, scientific and practical opinions on specific contents: Draft report Politics of the 13th Party Central Committee at the 14th Party Congress; Draft Action Program of the Party Central Committee to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party; Draft Report summarizing some theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented reform in the past 40 years in Vietnam; Draft Report summarizing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter (2011-2025) and proposals and decisions. direction to supplement and amend the Party Charter.
