On August 14, the National Innovation Center (NIC), Ministry of Finance held the Launching Ceremony of the Vietnam - Asia Quantum Technology Conference (Viet Nam - Asia Quantum Summit 2026). The conference has the goal of connecting domestic resources with the regional and international quantum ecosystem, promoting cooperation in research, training, investment and application development. The event is expected to take place in November, bringing together policymakers, experts, scientists, businesses and investors to discuss the direction of quantum technology development, promote cooperation and expand opportunities for Vietnam to participate more deeply in the global quantum value chain and ecosystem. The highlight of the conference is connecting research, human resources, businesses and investment resources to promote specific projects, from research and training cooperation, technology transfer to demonstration and testing of quantum applications in Vietnam. Among them, the policy dialogue forum is where policymakers, experts and businesses exchange strategies, mechanisms, policies and directions for building a quantum technology ecosystem. The Quantum Technology Conference includes in-depth conferences for scientists, experts, engineers, research institutes, universities and technology businesses; and a program for the public, to introduce knowledge, trends, applications and potential of quantum technology. The investment forum aims to connect businesses, startups and investment funds, promote technology transfer, market development and commercialization of quantum solutions. The technology demonstration space will introduce quantum technologies, products and applications, creating conditions for businesses and people to access and experience the technologies introduced at the conference. Through these activities, the conference aims to form specific cooperation results in research, training, technology transfer, business development, attracting investment and testing quantum applications in areas where Vietnam has needs and potential. At the launching ceremony, Mr. Vo Xuan Hoai, Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC), said that, as a national focal point for innovation, NIC is gradually forming a connection network between scientists, universities, businesses, startups, investors and international partners. NIC has implemented many activities to promote connection in this field, from sponsoring the establishment of the Vietnam Network of Innovation and Quantum Technology Experts (VNQuantum), to organizing a series of events.
