The acting Minister of Education and Higher Education Ester Vilarrubla and the director of the Department of Vocational Training Lifelong Learning and Technological Innovation Xavier Campuzano accompanied on Tuesday the students who attended the open day of the Aixovall Vocational Training Center.More than 300 students in the fourth year of Second Education from the three educational systems of the country have travelled to Aixovall to learn about the different courses and branches of vocational training that are offered. The students have been able to see first-hand a total of ten courses that are offered eight of them in Aixovall and the remaining two in the FP Center of La Massana.During the visit the acting incumbent stressed that during the legislature there was a strong commitment to the renewal of vocational training with the creation of the new professional baccalaureate renewing the programs as well as the degrees. Vilarrubla explained that as a novelty for this open day a session has been planned for parents of students who want to know the training offer and possible job opportunities. We want to give all the possible tools and all the information to both future students and parents to help them in a crucial choice in their future as professionals he highlighted.During the day interested students learned the details about the studies visited the technical spaces and were able to interact with the students who have guided the visits through the space and who are currently studying the different trainings. The options available for the next academic year include socio-community support studies auxiliary nursing care three ICT-related branches aesthetics and hairdressing multilingual secretariat and physical sports and leisure activities.This year more than 350 students are studying in the different Vocational Training options offered by the Andorran education system. Along these lines Vilarrubla pointed out that during the next courses those branches of studies that have not yet been renewed will be renewed and a new level of baccalaureate of specialization will be created for students who finish the two years of studies of the professional baccalaureate. In this way they will be able to specialize in a certain field of the sector improving their future employability.
