The main task of recruiting is the selection of candidates for military service under a contract. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the recruiting system has changed significantly. Today, the selection of candidates is carried out not only by the OTCC and SP, as it was before, but also by the recruiting centers of the military branches, the centers of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces under the Central Military District, as well as directly by combat units. Therefore, everyone can choose the specialty and unit in which they want to serve in the most convenient way, said Lt. Col. Andriy Kotenko.
In addition to the choice of unit and position, military service under the contract provides for additional social guarantees.
In the case of signing the first contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, servicemen can receive one-time financial assistance and count on compensation for housing sublease. Citizens who signed a contract have the right to receive a certificate for the purchase of a vehicle in the amount of 150,000 hryvnias within three months from the date of its conclusion, said Lt. Col. Andriy Kotenko.
During the briefing, special attention was paid to the recruitment of young people aged 18-24. Today, this category is the most active among candidates for contract service, which indicates the high motivation of the younger generation to join the defense of Ukraine, added Andriy Kotenko.
