πŸ“‹ Tender Overview

Minister of Energy Almasadam Satkaliyev reported on the work being carried out as part of the Year of Working Professions at a Government meeting.

He noted that today, more than 303 thousand employees of various professions work at 1,671 enterprises that make up the republic's fuel and energy complex.

By 2030, it is planned to implement 99 projects in the FEC sectors, creating more than 83 thousand high-quality jobs, both during the construction phase and in permanent jobs.

The implementation of projects in the oil and gas sector will create approximately 22,000 jobs for technical specialties in both the oil and gas industry and related industries.

More than 21,000 employees will be involved in 6 major petrochemical projects, including 18,000 temporary and more than 3,000 permanent positions.

In the electric power industry, 72 projects, including 32 renewable energy projects, will create more than 41 thousand jobs, more than 35 thousand temporary and about 6 thousand permanent jobs.

"The nuclear power plant construction project will provide jobs for about 5 thousand people by 2030, and about 10 thousand people during the peak construction period in 2032. During the operation period, the project will provide jobs for at least 2 thousand people. In addition to new projects, the total need for personnel at the operating enterprises of the Federal Energy Complex in the period from 2025 to 2029 will be about 16 thousand additional jobs," added Almasadam Satkaliyev.

It was noted that 43 professional standards for worker professions in Kazakhstan have been updated, new professions and qualifications have been identified, and the work of sectoral councils on professional qualifications has been activated.

Together with the Ministry of Education, a training center has been established, which includes 61 higher education institutions and more than 200 colleges, where training of FEC specialists is being carried out.

Training for the energy sector is carried out by 40 higher education institutions and 215 colleges, where about 19 thousand students study in 7 specialties in the fields of electric power, thermal power, and renewable energy.

Taking into account the construction of new electricity generation facilities, active growth in consumption, and economic development, it is projected that by 2030, the need for in-demand specialties in the energy sector alone will exceed 20,000.

In order to support the construction of nuclear power plants, specialized specialties will be opened at domestic colleges to train personnel for nuclear power plants.

"Close cooperation with electrical engineering colleges is carried out by the subordinate organizations of the Ministry - the National Nuclear Center and the Institute of Nuclear Physics, which are the bases for conducting industrial practice for college students in nuclear specialties," Almasadam Satkaliyev clarified.

The work will continue within the framework of the Ministry of Education's sectoral plan for 2025, which provides for key measures to increase the role and prestige of working professions, including:
Holding the "Best Specialist" professional skills competitions, the World Skills KMG National Championship, as well as participating in the "Enbek Zholy" republican competition;

celebration of professional holidays: Oil and Gas Industry Workers' Day, Energy Workers' Day, Nuclear Industry Workers' Day, Drillers' Day;

Revitalization of the work of FEC industry trade unions, updating industry agreements on issues of employee training, and improving working conditions;

Starting in 2025, it is planned to increase the salaries of production personnel at energy-producing enterprises by 15% annually.
