To Allow The Operations Of The Construction Sites, It Will Be Necessary To Suspend The Circulation Of Trains Between The Arona And Sesto Calende Stations From 22.30 On Saturday 8 To 05.25 On Monday 10 March 2025.
The Activities Are Preparatory To The Realization Of Ertms (European Rail Traffic Management System) Technology. The Renewal Of Technologies With The Equipment Of The Ertms System, The Same Adopted On The High Speed Lines, Will Guarantee Greater Reliability Of The Infrastructure Causing An Improvement In The Regularity Of The Circulation And Quality Of The Service.
In Addition To Higher Performance, Ertms Also Allows Savings On Management And Maintenance Costs Compared To Traditional Signaling Systems. The Overall Investment Value Amounts To Around 120 Million Euros Also Financed With Pnrr Funds Including The New Gallarate Apparatus.
