πŸ“‹ Tender Overview

On March 10, President Shavkat Mirziyoev got acquainted with the presentation of proposals on improving the system of training engineers for agriculture and water management.
It was noted that in many areas, science has moved away from real life, in the implementation of some large-scale projects in agriculture and water management, insufficient attention is paid to scientific justification and expertise, and the potential of scientists and researchers is not fully utilized. As a result, it was noted that some projects are not producing the expected results.
Currently, the national research university Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers has more than 11,000 students, 7 faculties, 37 departments and 38 educational areas are functioning. The employment rate of graduates is 93 percent. The number of foreign students and professors at the university is also steadily increasing.
At the same time, in order to ensure the harmony of theory and practice in the training of engineering personnel, it was shown the need to widely introduce the dual education system.
According to the proposed new system, students will receive 4 days of theoretical knowledge and 2 days of paid practice at production enterprises. In particular, it will be possible to organize efficient irrigation and water conservation in the field of water management, to concrete canals in the field of hydrotechnics and hydropower, to make estimates and to participate in the construction of small hydroelectric power stations, to prepare machinery in the field of agricultural mechanization, and to participate in harvesting.
It was shown that most of the water resources of our country depend on transboundary sources. Therefore, it was emphasized that the training of diplomatic personnel in the field of water resources is one of the important strategic tasks.
The proposal to expand the International Water Diplomacy masters program established at the university and to increase the admission places based on the state grant was approved. This program is intended to train highly qualified specialists for neighboring countries.
New initiatives aimed at strengthening the scientific and innovative potential of the university were also announced at the presentation. In particular, using drones, it is planned to establish services such as monitoring of cultivated areas, productivity forecasting, pest control, and development of scientific recommendations based on space monitoring data.
For this purpose, drone control training courses will be introduced at the university, a laboratory for space research and satellites, and complex research laboratories will be established.
In addition, the plans for the introduction of digital management and KPI systems at the university, and the formation of a personnel training system based on the continuous chain of education school - technical school - university - production were announced.
At the end of the presentation, the head of our state gave relevant instructions to the officials on improving the system of training engineers for the fields of agriculture and water management, ensuring the harmony of science and practice, and wide introduction of advanced technologies.
