President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation on measures to ensure stability in the oil and gas market, continuous supply of hydrocarbon resources to economic sectors and the population.
The expansion of industrial capacity in our country and the growing needs of the population increase the demand for natural gas and oil products. In such conditions, it is important to provide the domestic market with the necessary resources, take into account seasonal needs in advance, and prevent unreasonable price increases.
The presentation discussed the state of oil and gas production, import, processing, storage and delivery to consumers. It was emphasized that it is necessary to accurately calculate the needs of networks and regions, prioritize domestic demand and strictly adhere to delivery schedules.
The ongoing work on maintaining the natural gas production rate, effective use of existing fields and timely commissioning of new wells was discussed in the joint-stock company Uzbekneftgaz.
27 wells are planned to be commissioned in August. An additional 887,000 cubic meters of natural gas will be produced due to the works at the Yangi Kultak, Niyoz, Qoratau, Marvarid and Tegirmon fields.
It was emphasized the importance of daily control of the processes from drilling wells to connecting them to the gas transmission network, ensuring uninterrupted operation of electricity supply and production infrastructure.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of supplying oil and gas processing enterprises with raw materials, effective use of existing capacities, and increasing the production of products that are in high demand in the domestic market.
The necessity of timely and sufficient supply of hydrocarbon resources to the regions, formation of necessary reserves in advance, and mutual coordination of activities of producing, transporting and selling enterprises was shown.
In order to maintain price stability, it was emphasized the importance of ensuring sufficient supply in the market, bringing products to market based on demand, and reducing production and logistics costs. Effective controls were mandated to prevent unjustified withholding of resources, artificial shortages, and price gouging.
In order to maintain the balance of demand and supply in the domestic market, to prevent interruptions in the supply of hydrocarbon resources and unjustified price increases, the joint-stock company Uzbekneftgaz was assigned the task of unconditionally ensuring the specified forecast indicators for oil and gas production. It was ordered to increase the volume of liquefied gas production to 606 thousand tons instead of the planned 520 thousand tons by the end of the year.
Officials were given instructions on daily analysis of domestic market needs, early detection of supply-related risks and timely implementation of necessary measures.
