With the motto Tourism engine of sustainable development the Government of Malabo has officially launched the application and obtaining of a visa online. The event held in the emblematic city of Sipopo a few kilometers from Malabo on May 15 was led by the Prime Minister of the Government Charged with Administrative Coordination Manuela Roka Botey.In addition to the leadership of the Ministry of Culture Tourism and Craft Promotion the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government and the First Deputy and Second Deputy General Secretaries of the PDGE attended. The Ministers of Finance and Budgets Information Press and Radio Civil Aviation the Delegate Ministers of Security and the Treasury the Minister of Commerce and the Secretary of State for Fisheries and Water Resources among others also participated in this transcendental act.The representatives of the hotels the leisure sector the national investor the Candy Vista Puerto tourist group the VFS GLOBAL company the latter executing the project as well as the travel agencies intervened.In their interventions they agreed to recognize that the implementation of the online visa is a very important tool for tourism development in the country. They promised to make Equatorial Guinea a competent tourist destination while they enthusiastically applauded the implementation of the online visa. They also showed their support and the availability of a project that will promote job creation. The attendees followed the projection of the video on the online visa application procedures by Djalil Assouma General Director of VFS Global.Likewise the Ministers of Finance and Budgets Culture Tourism and Craft Promotion the Delegate Minister of Security as well as the Secretary of State for Culture Tourism and Craft Promotion took part.The Minister of Culture Prudencio Botey Sopale said that the implementation of the online visa is as of today a reality thanks to the special commitment of HE Nguema Obiang Mangue Vice President of the Republic Charged with National Defense and State Security . In addition he informed the people friendly countries and brothers that seventy-two hours will be enough time to obtain a response to the visa application.He went on to state the importance of strengthening the sector as a promoter of the economy and an important source of job creation. He said that it is time to make way for culture as an essential element and attraction for all those who choose the Republic of Equatorial Guinea as their destination.He revealed that the new team that he leads is carrying out the process of identifying the places classified as cultural and tourist interest throughout the country since Equatorial Guinea is a paradise in the process of exploration and dissemination of knowledge at an international level in the heart of Africa. He also added that the sea and the tropical jungle shake hands and perform an aesthetic symbiosis every morning offering a beautiful landscape worthy of praise and selling to the world.Minister Botey expressed heartfelt thanks to HE Obiang Nguema Mbasogo praising his tenacity and high accuracy as well as the tireless support he provides to the tourism sector. Likewise he thanked the Vice President of the Republic for having placed the issue of Culture and Tourism among the priorities.
