Minister Sandoval announces work table with formal guilds and discards unemployment of transporters.The Minister of Transportation and Communications, Cesar Sandoval, announced that the public transport service in Lima and Callao will take place normally on August 21, thus discarding a announced call for transporters.
I just concluded a very important meeting with all the formal transport guilds, who have expressed their predisposition to leave on August 21 to work normally, as every day, and always to put themselves at the service of the country, said the head of the MTC.
During the meeting with carriers, the MTC agreed to install a permanent work table with the unions, which will be formalized by ministerial resolution, with the purpose of dialogue with clear objectives and advance in the improvement of the order and the formality of transport in the city.
Sandoval stressed that the MTC dialogues only with formal guilds and recalled that informal carriers have no place in this process. Informal not only have the hours counted, but it is not appropriate to sit with people or pseudodirigents who are outside the law, he noted.

Sandoval called the unity between the Executive and the guilds to achieve consensus that allow consolidating a safe, efficient and formal transport service. In this way, the MTC guarantees the continuity of the service and reaffirms its commitment to work hand in hand with formal carriers to strengthen urban mobility in Lima and Callao.
