The first deputy prime minister Nurlybek Nalibayev chaired a meeting on highway issues. Representatives of the Ministries of Transport, Finance, National Economy, Justice, the Border Service of the National Security Agency, JSC KazAvtoZhol JSC and representatives of the contractor organization took part in the discussion. Implementation of the Central-West project, modernization of automobile checkpoints, maintenance of highways of republican significance in the autumn-winter period were discussed. In particular, the current state of implementation of the Central-West project, including the progress of design, construction and installation works, financing and allocation of land plots, was reviewed. Special attention was paid to the modernization of automobile checkpoints. Quality of work, compliance with deadlines, issues requiring interdepartmental decision were discussed. In the framework of preparations for the autumn-winter period, road organizations prepared for winter maintenance of highways of republican importance. Particular attention was paid to the provision of the necessary equipment, anti-slip materials and preparation to ensure safe, continuous movement during the winter season.
