Through Provias Descentralizado, the signing of the agreement that will allow work to begin in the district of Cascas was coordinated.The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC), through Provias Decentralizado, signed an institutional cooperation agreement with the Regional Government of La Libertad for the installation of a modular bridge to replace the Banos Chimu bridge, an affected road that collapsed due to the passage of a dump truck whose weight exceeded the permitted limit by 20 tons.
Given the need to install the bridge in the Cascas district of the Gran Chimu province, Provias Descentralizado coordinated with the district municipalities of Sayapullo and Cascas to provide support with heavy machinery and carry out the necessary excavations in the area where one of the bases of the new modular bridge will be located. For this, technical assistance was provided by specialists from Provias Descentralizado.
This metal structure will be 60 meters long and will be located on one side of the previous bridge. The modular bridge installation process is scheduled to begin in the coming days.
In this way, the MTC articulates actions with local governments to restore road infrastructure, which allows citizens to continue with their daily activities.
