With the ordinance amending the access to short-time work allowance ordinance the facilitation of access to short-time work allowance will be extended again until December 31 2022 in order to give companies the opportunity to go into short-time work under easier conditions in these difficult and uncertain times.Thanks to short-time work we have been able to secure many jobs over the past few years which have been shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic. However the development of the infection process in the coming autumn and winter is just as uncertain as the further economic effects of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine. With this ordinance we are therefore ensuring that the short-time work bridge continues and secures jobs. This gives companies planning security beyond September 30 2022 through easier access to short-time work benefits.
