π Tender Overview
An evaluation of five of the nine knowledge and innovation communities of the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT) by independent experts shows a positive result for the innovation communities.
Among other things, it examined how the Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) contribute to the EU's sustainability goals, have established their own innovation ecosystems across Europe and introduced gender-specific measures to promote innovation. The KICs that were successfully assessed include, in particular, the three KICs approved in the first wave of founding in 2010: EIT Climate -KIC, EIT Digital and EIT InnoEnergy . From the end of 2024, after fifteen years, they will no longer receive significant EIT funding.
