In cooperation with the planned Hydrogen Technology Application Center WTAZ in Pfeffenhausen Sonplas has the opportunity to position itself profitably in a future-oriented field through the area of test procedures.Sonplas employs more than 330 people in Straubing. The company has been developing special machines for the automotive automotive supplier and commercial vehicle sectors as well as aviation technology since 1993. A new central product area from Sonplas is hydrogen. Sonplas develops test benches to test hydrogen-carrying components such as hydrogen valves for their functionality. Two years ago Sonplas invested in hydrogen technology and set up its own test center and test bench in Straubing. This is available to customers for trial and test series.Aiwanger With the hydrogen know-how Sonplas can develop into a pioneer and later partner for the Lower Bavarian WTAZ. The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs has already networked WTAZ and Sonplas. It is an invaluable advantage for Bavaria that there are already many experts in the state for ramping up the hydrogen economy.
