With this intervention, the MTC seeks to eliminate the risk posed by the existing wooden bridge, which suffered constant deterioration due to weather conditions.The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), through Provias Nacional, is carrying out the installation of a provisional modular bridge in the Los Chiclayos sector, located at km 977+800 of the Mollepata - Angasmarca - Santiago de Chuco - Shorey highway (National Route PE-3N), in the La Libertad region.
This intervention is carried out to replace an old wooden bridge that was constantly deteriorating, which represented a risk to vehicular traffic and the safety of users of this important route on the Liberteno Ande.
The installation of the new structure will make it possible to restore and ensure the transit of vehicles and passengers, as well as guarantee the transfer of products and merchandise that boost the local economy.
The works are carried out within the framework of emergency road assistance in the section Puente Pallar - Chagual - ascent to the Marsa - Buldibuyo mine (PE-10C), a strategic corridor that connects the provinces of Santiago de Chuco and Pataz.
The tasks include:
- Installation of a provisional modular bridge, which will allow vehicular traffic to be restored safely.
- Access conditioning and reinforcement of the road platform at both ends of the structure.
- Implementation of preventive signage and traffic control to guarantee the safety of transporters and users.
The Transportation sector, through Provias Nacional, maintains the permanent deployment of machinery, specialized technical personnel and logistical equipment to respond to emergencies caused by rain or other events that affect the National Road Network.
In this way, the MTC ratifies its commitment to guarantee safe roads, maintain territorial connectivity and contribute to the economic and social development of the countrys regions.
