π Tender Overview
We continue to systematically develop the educational infrastructure of the Kharkiv region. The first underground kindergarten in Ukraine is the result of the joint work of the state, the regional military administration and the community. Already today, we see a high demand from parents - more than 250 applications for enrollment of children have been submitted to the institution. This confirms how necessary such projects are. We already have a successful experience of creating underground schools, and today we are taking the next step -- we provide the opportunity to receive preschool education face-to-face even in the conditions of the War of Independence of Ukraine, Oleg Synegubov said.
The project was implemented through the reconstruction of the building of the preschool education institution and the construction of a modern protective structure of civil protection. The total cost of the works is over 168 million hryvnias. Financing was provided at the expense of the state, regional and local budgets.
A separate direction of the project was the opening of the first special group in Ukraine for children with special educational needs of 4 and 5 levels of support. All the necessary specialists and premises are prepared for the education of these children.
The kindergarten is designed for 260 pupils and provides an opportunity to organize a full-fledged educational process in face-to-face format even during air strikes. As part of the reconstruction, the facade was insulated, the roof and windows were replaced, the group premises were renovated, and a protective structure was erected, which was connected to the buildings of the institution by safe passages. Thanks to this, children and workers can get to the shelter without going outside.
The underground space was equipped with eight training rooms, a medical station, a dining room, sanitary rooms and showers. The shelter is autonomous thanks to two independent power sources and backup generators. Special attention was paid to creating a barrier-free environment. The institution was equipped with an elevator, barrier-free routes and all the necessary conditions for children with disabilities and other groups of the population with reduced mobility.
