πŸ“‹ Tender Overview

Rokiskis District Becomes The First In Lithuania, Where The Citizens Energy Association Established By The Municipality Brought Together 26 Municipal Institutions And Companies To Jointly Use Solar Energy In Order To Meet Their Electricity Needs. According To The Measure Created By The Ministry Of Energy, Loans For Energy Companies, The National Development Bank Ilte Allocated Almost 16 Million To The Association Established By The Municipality Of Rokiskis. Eur Financing To Purchase Remote 20 Mw Solar Power Plants. The Community Project Will Allow Public Sector Institutions To Use The Electricity Produced By The Power Plant From Renewable Sources, Thereby Reducing Electricity Costs And Contributing To Increasing Energy Self-Sufficiency. Before That, This Community Already Used Technical Assistance, Which Was Intended As A Grant To Prepare For The Implementation Of The Project, And The Services Were Provided By A Consulting Services Company Purchased By Ilte. Municipal Energy Associations Allow Local Communities To Actively Participate In The Energy Transformation Themselves - Not Only To Consume, But Also To Produce Energy From Renewable Energy Resources. The Example Of Rokiskis Shows That By Cooperating, Municipal Institutions Can Reduce Energy Costs, Strengthen Energy Independence And Simultaneously Create Benefits For All Residents Of The District, Contributing To The Reduction Of Energy Poverty. Such A Model Of Cooperation Can Work Successfully And Become An Example For Other Municipalities, Says Minister Of Energy Zygimantas Vaiciunas. The Energy Association Consists Of 26 Municipal Institutions And Companies Of The Rokiskis District. The Largest Part Of The Planned Solar Power Plant Capacity In The Community Is Intended To Be Allocated To Infrastructure And Public Service Providers - For Example, Uab Rokiskio Vandenys, Rokiskio District Physical Culture And Sports Center, Uab Rokiskio Autobusu Parkas And Others. A Significant Part Of The Electricity Will Also Be Allocated To Educational Institutions And Other Municipal Institutions. According To Valerijaus Rancevs, Director Of Administration Of The Rokiskis District Municipality, Chairman Of The Board Of The Rokiskis Solar Energy Park Association, The Municipality, Having Assessed The Growing Demand For Electricity And Green Energy Requirements For The Public Sector, Was The First In Lithuania To Undertake This Project In Order To Reduce The Price Of Electricity For Subordinate Institutions, And The Saved Funds Could Be Used For Their Modernization And Stabilization Of Service Prices. Our Plan Is To Buy Separate Remote Solar Power Plants In Several Stages And Meet 100% Of The DistrictS Public Sector Needs: Education, Health, Cultural Institutions, Municipalities And Townships, Water Supply, Public Transport, Etc. This Project Also Includes The Lighting Of The DistrictS Public Spaces And Streets. As The Cost Of Electricity Decreases, It Will Be Possible To Illuminate More Spaces And Streets During The Dark Hours Of The Day. Therefore, We See Long-Term Benefits In All Areas Of The Public Sector, Especially Since We Are Also Planning Modernization Together, For Example, Purchasing Electric Buses, Expansion And Renovation Of Water Networks And Many Others, Says V. Rancevas. I Am Proud To Be Able To Contribute To The Transformation Of The Rokiskis District Into A Greener And More Energetically Self-Sufficient Region. It Is Personally Very Important And Happy For Me That Rokiskis Has Become The First To Show The Direction For The Whole Of Lithuania - This Is A Clear Signal That Regions Can Be Innovative And Boldly Take The Green Course. This Project Is Not Only An Investment In Renewable Energy, But Also A Long-Term Benefit For The Entire Community - Lower Costs, Greater Energy Independence And A More Responsible Approach To The Environment, Says Virgilijus Dambrauskas, Head Of The Rokiskis Solar Energy Park Association. The Project Also Provides Social Benefits - Free Electricity Is Planned To Be Supplied To All Residents Who Have Declared Their Place Of Residence In The Municipality Of Rokiskis District And Suffer From Poverty, Of Which There Are Currently More Than 1,800. This Will Allow To Reduce Electricity Costs For The Most Vulnerable Population Groups In The District And Contribute To The Reduction Of Energy Poverty. This Part Of The Power Plant, Which Is Distributed To Persons Suffering From Poverty, Receives A Grant From The Funds Of The Measure. This Project Is An Excellent Example Of How Proactive Actions The Municipality Transforms Solutions For Long-Term Electricity Needs. Institutions That Previously Paid Electricity Suppliers Now Direct Part Of Their Funds To The CommunityS Power Plant, Ensuring A Safer, More Sustainable, More Economical And Long-Term Electricity Supply, Says Giedre Getiauskiene, Head Of IlteS Customer And Financing Solutions Service.
