The Ministry of Local Self-Government, Cohesion and Regional Development has approved European funds for the project Hydraulic improvement of the Trbovlje water supply system. The project will contribute to the reduction of water losses and a more reliable supply of drinking water to residents. The Cohesion Fund will contribute over 800,000 euros to the project.The project is aimed at reducing water losses on the public water supply system of Trbovlje, which supplies more than 10,000 inhabitants. As part of the project, 1,375 meters of new water supply will be built, including 761 meters of pressure and 614 meters of supply water supply.
The implementation of the project will ensure a more reliable supply of drinking water for 11,885 residents of the central part of the Trbovlje water supply system. At the same time, water losses will be reduced and the hydraulic stability of the system will be improved, which will contribute to more efficient management of the water supply infrastructure.
The project is implemented within the framework of the European Cohesion Policy Program 2021-2027.
For the project with a total value of 1,361,800.64 euros, the Cohesion Fund will contribute 807,500 euros of European funds. The beneficiary of the funds is the Municipality of Trbovlje.
