The Minister of Agriculture Ibrahim Abdurahmanov met with the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia Dragan Glamocic and discussed the possibilities of Uzbek businessmen to implement joint projects in the areas of livestock, horticulture and seed production in the territory of Serbia. special attention was paid to issues of production, development of fodder base, introduction of advanced veterinary technologies, establishment of intensive orchards, cultivation and reproduction of high-yielding seed varieties.
The parties noted the importance of creating favorable conditions for Uzbek entrepreneurs to implement agricultural projects in Serbia, expanding investment cooperation, and establishing exchange of modern agro-technologies and experience.
Also, possibilities of implementation of promising projects on processing, storage and packaging of livestock, horticultural and seed products, formation of added value chain and delivery of produced products to domestic and foreign markets were considered.
At the end of the meeting, agreements were reached to support the projects of Uzbek businessmen in the areas of livestock, horticulture and seed production in Serbia and to bring agricultural cooperation between the two countries to a new level.
