Pursuant to the Water Act, drinking water supply has priority over other uses of water. If the situation at the water sources intended for the supply of drinking water worsens in the coming days, the Water Directorate of the Republic of Slovenia will announce a temporary ban on the use of underground water for all purposes, except for the supply of drinking water, until the situation in this area stabilizes.
