The Government Office has just issued Notice No. 699/TB-VPCP dated December 17, 2025 on the conclusion of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the progress inspection of Long Thanh International Airport Project phase 1 and connecting traffic routes. On December 15, a technical flight was organized to comprehensively inspect and evaluate the conditions of Long Thanh airport. Long Thanh International Airport Project is a key national project of century stature, demonstrating our countrys strong aspiration to rise in the new development period, a project that converges all the economic, defense, cultural and social significance of our country in the period of development, integration and innovation. With that historical significance and role, in recent times, the Party, the National Assembly and the Government have paid special attention and directed ministries, branches and localities to focus and determine to implement the Project with the highest spirit of effort and responsibility. After the inspection on August 2, 2025 by the Prime Minister and September 11, 2025 by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, up to now, many tasks and main items of the project have been basically completed such as: roads connecting internal ports, passenger terminals, runways 1 and 2, air traffic control towers, electricity and water systems, signal information to serve the operation and exploitation of the airport, system fuel supply. The amount of work that must be completed to prepare for the projects inauguration ceremony is still very large. The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, localities and relevant agencies to seriously grasp and implement the instructions of General Secretary To Lam and the Prime Minister at work inspection sessions at the project; It is necessary to consider this as the most important political task in direction and management. We must be determined and make every effort to implement it as soon as possible, meeting the progress and quality as required. In particular, it is important to thoroughly grasp the development orientation of airport economy with the goal of investing in building Long Thanh International Airport to become a regional air transit center, along with a modern and synchronous aviation and non-aviation service ecosystem such as accommodation and passenger areas. hotels, convention centers, commerce, healthcare, logistics, non-tariff areas and financial services, aiming to form Long Thanh Airport City. Soon invest in high-speed railway lines connecting Long Thanh International Airport. The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Construction to coordinate with the Peoples Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province to continue directing ACV and related agencies to focus on improving the landscape, environmental sanitation of common infrastructure and works; Complete the main trunk road to ensure convenient and safe connection from routes T1 and T2 to the passenger terminal apron and component projects 1 and 2 of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway and connecting traffic routes to serve the project inauguration ceremony. Focus on implementing preparations for the project inauguration ceremony on December 19, 2025; Complete the script and detailed plan for the first official flight on December 19, 2025 to ensure absolute safety. Direct the investor and the Project Management Board of connecting highways to speed up implementation progress and soon complete and synchronize with Long Thanh Airport to ensure connection, connectivity and promote investment efficiency. Concentrate resources, research and soon deploy investment in urban railways and high-speed railways connecting Long Thanh International Airport with Tan Son Nhat International Airport and the center of Ho Chi Minh City. The Ministry of Public Security directed the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department and relevant agencies to coordinate with Dong Nai Provincial Peoples Committee, ACV, VATM to review and ensure conditions for security, safety, fire prevention and rescue for the inauguration ceremony, technical flight and first flight at the airport.
