Khaled El-Anany Minister of Tourism and Antiquities issued a ministerial decision to create a Follow-up Unit for Egyptian Archaeological Sites Listed on the World Heritage List to be affiliated with the General Administration of International Relations and Agreements in the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Ministers Office.One of the tasks and competencies of this unit will be to follow up on the Egyptian archaeological sites inscribed on the World Heritage List and to monitor any circumstances or dangers that may threaten the extinction of the qualities that led to their inclusion on the list in order to start taking the necessary measures towards their preservation and preservation.The unit will also prepare periodic reports on the status of Egyptian archaeological sites on the World Heritage List and take the necessary precautionary measures to preserve and maintain them in coordination with all concerned authorities.
