As part of its participation in the 40th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2024), one of the largest energy industry events in the world, hosted by ADNOC under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, under the slogan "Connecting Minds to Achieve a Realistic and Organized Transition in the Energy Sector" during the period from 4-7 November 2024 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre ( ADIPEC ) in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.
Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, participated in the official opening ceremony of the conference, in the presence of a group of energy ministers, heads of major global energy companies, and a group of the most prominent experts, innovators, and visionaries from various fields of energy and artificial intelligence.
This edition of the event aims to explore the key role of artificial intelligence and finance in accelerating the global energy transition. This year’s event will see the launch of three new conferences featuring leading figures from finance, technology, youth, and the Global South to shape a more sustainable and inclusive energy future.
The delegation of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources participating in the event includes Eng. Salah Abdel Karim, CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, Dr. Alaa El Batal, First Undersecretary of the Ministry and Supervisor of Environment, Occupational Safety and Health, Energy Efficiency and Climate, Eng. Ehab Ragai, First Undersecretary of the Ministry for Production, and Eng. Moataz Atef, Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Technical Office and Official Spokesperson of the Ministry.
