Rostelecom has completed the modernization of switching equipment in 392 apartment buildings in cities and rural areas of Dagestan. The work was carried out from 2023 to 2026. Specialists from the national provider installed 402 gigabit Internet access switches. Thanks to the replacement of equipment, telecom operators have improved the quality of services, and the companys 10 thousand existing subscribers can connect to new digital services at speeds above 100 Mbit/s. Home Internet users choose the Test Drive tariff with a promotional thirty-day free period, and gamers choose the Basic Gaming tariff, which includes unlimited home Internet, 207 Wink TV channels, 27,000 films and TV series in the Wink online cinema.

Both the development of digital infrastructure and modernization help Dagestanis solve everyday problems more easily: receive government services electronically, use high-speed Internet, communicate in instant messengers. After installing new switches with gigabit ports, customers subscribe to tariff plans with high data transfer speeds.
New equipment appeared in the entrances of apartment buildings in Makhachkala, Derbent, Dagestanskiye Ogni, as well as in a number of regional centers: Gunib, Botlikh, Karabudakhkent, Levashi, Sergokal, Khunzakh, Agvali, Akhtakh, Urkarakh and Usukhchay. Outdated models of switches that did not work at Internet speeds above 100 Mbit/s were upgraded.

When using a phone, smart TV, computer and laptop at the same time, different speeds are needed. After replacing the switches at the entrance, we switched to a new tariff plan. Now my wife and I watch movies in high definition, simultaneously downloading large files, and the children prepare for lessons at school on the Rostelecom Lyceum learning platform.

High-speed Internet is attractive to gamers. In 2021, players from Izberbash and Botlikh were unable to take part in the republican online tank tournament due to low Internet speed on home computers - the guys had to go to relatives in Makhachkala.
