π Tender Overview
Failure to comply with this provision will result in a fine equivalent to half a UIT.The General Directorate of Medicines, Supplies and Drugs (Digemid) of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) recalled that all pharmacies and pharmacies in the country have the obligation to place, in a visible place, the directorial resolution that authorizes their operation. In case of non-compliance, establishments could be sanctioned with a fine equivalent to half a Tax Unit (UIT), that is, S/2,675.
The specialist from the Digemid Inspection and Certification Directorate, Erica Rodriguez, explained that this authorization guarantees that the pharmacy or pharmacy meets the minimum conditions necessary for its operation.
This authorization must be placed in a place visible to the public, along with a legible copy of the professional title of the technical director of the pharmacy or pharmacy, who must be a licensed and licensed pharmaceutical chemist, as established by the Regulations for Pharmaceutical Establishments, he explained.
Likewise, he indicated that users can verify if the pharmacy or pharmacy has health authorization by entering the National Registry of Pharmaceutical Establishments through the following link: https://serviciosweb-digemid.minsa.gob.pe/Consultas/Establishments
Erica Rodriguez also recalled that, if a pharmacy or pharmacy serves the public without having health authorization, it would be committing an infraction that can be punished with a fine of 3 UIT (16,050 soles), in addition to the temporary or permanent closure of the establishment for 30 days.
Likewise, he urged users to report the pharmaceutical establishment that operates illegally through the Digemid web portal, entering the link https://observatorio.digemid.minsa.gob.pe/denunciasWeb/DefaultCI.
The complaints presented there are referred to the competent health authorities: Directorates of Integrated Health Networks (Diris) Metropolitan Lima or regional health directorates and managements (Diresa or Geresa) according to the jurisdiction.
In this way, the Minsa, through Digemid, guarantees that the population can access quality, safe and effective medicines, purchased in authorized pharmacies and pharmacies.
